Retirement visa 410 is available but you need substantial funds and will have no access to medicare etc. They last for 4 years then need to be renewed every 2 years. You need to be over 55.
Parent Contributory visas are available but you need to be sponsored by your son who will need to have PR for 2 years.
There is a non contributory parent visa but the waiting list is several years and again your sponsor needs PR for 2 years.
For all parent visas you have to pass the 'balance of family' test. This means at least half your children live in Australia.
Hope this helps
Good luck

Just to say my parents our going out on 410 retirement visa and are using Helen O'Hare of Go Matilda and have found her to be most helpful.
They are just sending off some info and will be booking their medicals the end of next month!!! The way things are going their gonna have their visa a hell of a lot quicker than us:scaredSent of for it December 30th!!!)
We keep telling them they'll have to go and we meet them out there!!!(only joking) as its a big move for them as their in their 70's now - just hope we hear about our medicals soon (pleeze DIMIA).
If you wanna ask any questions Im sure we can help...
