You can even go out to Bayside Brisbane (Cleveland etc) and still be within commuting distance of the CBD easily. Takes 40 mins by car and just over that for the train.

Well done James! We too are hoping to move out to Brisbane at the end of the year and we've looked into the eastern suburbs like Bulimba, Camp hill, cannon hill, all the way out to Wakerley. All have good little primary schools in the catchment areas and the house prices are obviously more expensive the closer to the city but are reasonable a little further out.
