Default Visa expiration date

Hello,

I have just become eligible for citizenship and submitted my application. However my current visa, 189 expires in June. From the current estimated wait times I know that my citizenship will not be processed by then. I need to return to the UK in July for a short trip. Is it best to get a bridging visa or a resident return visa for this? As usual the department website is unclear and if I can avoid calling them that would be great.

Thanks in advance

You’ll need an RRV.

You will need an RRV. You can apply on-line and in many cases it's granted instantly. Better, however, to not bank on that and wait until the last minute.
