I applied as a front end loaded application for my spouse visa. We have a son who has Australian citizenship by descent. I sent the application on a tuesday and we were rung on the thursday to confirm it was all complete. (this was last october) The passport took a couple of weeks to be stamped.

The application was about 2 cm thick.

We arrived here on 30th December and no regrets so far!
