Vinyl strip wood planking is a fantastic product. We have it it a new retail store of mine and it is hard wearing, waterproof and looks fantastic. It is also sooo much cheaper than real wood flooring and You cannot tell the difference.

I do not know what negative reports you are having but reverse cycle ducted Air Con is the best you can get.

I've had it for three years in my house in the U.K. with no probs. It's dead easy to keep and looks brill when it's varnished. Dont know if there would be any probs with it in the hot weather in Aus though.

I've just recently put down wood flooring in our rumpus room, as ours is laid straight on to a concrete floor we had to put down a plastic sheet covered with polysterene to act as a cushion/damp barrier and were advised to buy the better quality underlay as it improves the cushioning effect.

we got ours from bunnings and were loaned a dvd on how to do it and it was pretty straight forward, you have to remember to leave a 7/10 mm gap all the way around the room to allow for expansion in the humidity.

we do have to watch for people coming in from the pool with wet feet cos it swells if it gets wet...overall pretty good stuff and easy to diy.
