More specific er er no theres so many places that look so good what would you recomend what about Geelong ?? cook Point ??

anywhere you can suggest ??[/QUOTE]

So you want to be in the West ???

Geelong is ok, but Point Cook is like a half built Truman show estate.

I'd suggest the eastern or northern suburbs if you are looking at Melbourne area - far more going for them in my opinion.

I have lived in west and east btw - before someone jumps down my throat

I feel for you..

Have you been to either Vic or SA??

Do you want to be near a city, or in the country ??

How near are you to getting your Visa?

So many questions, but not enough answers

Oh shit...see what you mean !!!

How about the SE or NE suburbs of Melb ...near the country, and within commutable distance of the city
Sorry can't help you with SA.

We've been here for just over two years- came on a temp visa...and hated where i was put, so was a bit unsettled because of that - but then got PR and a great job
We lived in Williamstown for the first year - it was very nice, but a bit touristy, so then we moved to Elsternwick where we are very happy, and where we'll stay for the forseeable future.
Melbourne suits us both down to the ground - and having such a great State all around us is a bonus ... we like to explore and travel around so keeps us happy (with the odd trip to other places too)

SA or Victoria. been to both and while Vic is nice its bloody cold and way to many Victorians. SA is nice also, but can be bloody hot in summer. this is why we now live in Brisvegas, apart from the fact there is more work in Brisy.

We've been in Victoria for the last 8 months, and we hate it, its a lovely place no doubt, but it's big and impersonal, we're off to Adelaide in 2 weeks and we cant wait

And here is the problem with these sort of threads because for me there is no way I would leave Melbourne to live in Adelaide, the city really doesn't do it for me
