Default USA Camcorder question

Hi All,

If I buy a NTSC Camcorder from the USA, will I be able to find TVs that can play a video feed from it easily in Oz ? I understand Oz has PAL Video standard and US has NTSC. Its just that NTSC camcorders are much more cheaper here than the PAL ones and I would rather pay less and get more features than not otherwise.

I am looking at getting a Canon/Panasonic MiniDV Camcorder.

Thanks,

Keyur

Can do a pass through, feed the video through your puter and plonk it onto a tape that way to convert the signal.

Or, if you want to watch direct off the camcorder, try this place for convertors:

But I'm sure it won't be a problem plugging straight into a tv, but then again, I'm not to sure about it on the Oz end of things.
