Eeek, hadn't thought of that. Will be watching this one for the replies as I'm off to book our currency tomorrow.
Thanks

Singapore dollars. If you have USD, the exchage rate is not favourable at the shops or hotel when you buy or pay your hotel bills.

Just take plastic, hotels etc will take that no problem. In the airport you can use plastic everywhere, and they will take most kinds of notes, though your change will be in Singapore coins.

Hi,
you can compare the exchange rates in your home country and Singapore (http://www.mustafa.com.sg/forex.asp) and decide. It would be better to convert GBP or USD in singapore than in your home country as it would avoid loss due to double conversion. Using a credit card would give you an adverse rate by your bank plus 3.5% commission(Indian cards).
