Smile Urgent Help needed with RPL

Hi All

I want to apply under STNI for skilled migration as soon as the ACS assessment is done. I am looking for an example of a RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) application. I've been to the ACS website but I am looking for content examples of the RPL. Apparently you have to write exactily what they want to hear. I am a computer professional. ASCO Code: 2231-11. We will be doing the application ourselves without a migration agent and are looking for a template to work from. We don't want to risk the possibility of making mistakes. It has to be done right, first time.

Can anyone help?

I did the same thing year before last.

If you send me an email I would prefer to help you that way as this forum is too slow.

Cheers

Steve

P.S. Not sure I kept my RPL form (it was over 100 pages) but I can help with some of the content.

Good luck.

I didn't have to do the RPL since I became a member of the British Computer Society the year that we applied and there is a reciprocal arrangement with ACS. But you still have to do exams & interviews with the BCS.

Very difficult to find examples of what you have to write as everybody has had a different career. You basically have to write as much as you can about what you've learnt, how you learnt it and how you continue to develop your skills. You have to write this for each of the items in the CBOK.

Most people who do this end up with a document in excess of 100 pages. It has to be very indepth, though you will find yourself repeating things over and over again.

If you are unsure on what to do or how to do it, then your best bet is to contact an agent and they will be able to help and guide you better.
