can anybody help me, I need to send a text to Aus and need to know what to prefix the phone number with.

+61 will do it. lose the 0 at the begining of their number and you'll be right.

A useless statistic - mobile phone companies reported last year that for the first time text messages exceeded 50% of their traffic. Try explaining that to older people - phones that people speak on less than half the airtime!

you can get all the info you need in and sent for 10p or something.

Was in Argos yesterday and saw a landline-phone-that-sits-on-your-desk (what do you call those things that we used to just call a "phone"?) designed to send SMS messages. I though it was odd, but I guess it would be useful for somebody. I didn't even see a keyboard on it, it looked like you were just supposed to use the number pad like you would on your mobile!
