Hubbie left the house at 5.00 am this morning to go to the airport and pick up my best friend and her mother. I can't wait to see them. She is the one friend that I have truly missed. We have been through thick and thin together and she knows me inside and out.

As I said she arrives shortly and we are here for 5 days then we are off to New Zealand for a week and then Sydney.

Hubbie can't wait either as he gets rid of me for 10 days!!!!

Where in NZ are you planning to go? May I offer my services to give you some travel tips if you need them - I lived there a while ago and still visit most years.

Thanks Buzzy. We are flying in to Auckland and then driving from there to Rotorua, Napier, Wellington where we are leaving the car and then taking the transcenic train to Christchurch stopping on the way at a place I cannot remember!

I have always wanted to go to NZ but could never get enough time off work to visit when I lived in the UK. Hubbie didn't want to go as he has been a few times and his previous wife came from there and her family would expect us to visit if we came.

Any tips would be much appreciated.
