Up to date phone numbers in Oz

Up to date phone numbers in Oz
I've just found out that to get new phone numbers it's best to check the www.whitepages.com.au site rather than www.yellowpages.com.au as, unlike the UK, the latter isn't a definitive list of businesses in Australia. It is just a collection of advertisments that each and every business listed has to pay for.
If you already knew this, apologies. Been here over a year and just found this out - tut, tut.

i thought that was how they did it in the uk too.
[edit:] basic entries are free in the uk, but you still have to request the entry, so the yellow pages in the uk isn't definitive either, just free!
