UK to WA driving licence
If you have a standard UK car driving licence (issued in 1997) and apply for a driving licence in WA - what classes of vehicles I can drive will it include?

Re: UK to WA driving licence
On my WA licence it says class C which is less than 12 seater and less than 4.5T gvm.
Hope that helps.

Transfer your licence
If you intend on becoming a permanent resident of WA you must obtain a WA drivers licence within 3 months if you want to drive in WA.
To transfer your overseas driver licence you must personally attend a licensing centre (payment by Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS or credit card) or a licensing agent (payment by Cash or Cheque only) between the hours of 8:15 am and 3:45 pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Before you attend a licensing centre or agent you must take the following documentation with you:
* your current overseas drivers licence.
* proof of your identity, one primary document and one secondary document (originals only).
* proof of your WA residential address.
* one document that shows your signature.
* pay an application fee of $36.20 together with the standard $36.60 (1 year) or $ 116 (5 year) licence fee.
Cash, cheque, EFTPOS and credit cards are accepted.
I had a full HGV in the UK but it was not transferred in WA, only a MR class - Medium Rigid.
If I want to go higher, I have to take a practical test first on a Heavy Rigid and then an articulated.
Cheers
Neil.

Unless you are wanting to drive heavy trucks then you do not have to do any tests you can just transfer your UK licence, see the earlier post.
