Default UK Tax's before migrating

We are hoping to move to Perth in August, so I need to quit my job and settle my Tax's.

Can anyone help and tell me what I need to do as far as my UK tax is concerned.

Thanks Russell

Quit your job.....so not self employed then.

Get a form P85 Leaving the UK and fill it in, return it to the IR and if you are due a rebate the IR will sort it.

This is in very simplistic terms of course. Then there are any assets you may be leaving in the UK, bonds, shares etc etc.

What about pensions etc etc.

Its a huge area that can cost a lot of money if its not looked at.

What you have to do? See if your pension contributions can be carried over to OZ, some countries have a reciprocal agreement, and i think the uk and oz do, i stand corrected on this. Checkout the link below:

Thanks for your help. It just seems like a mine field to me.

Mind you I am from Norfolk!

You might want to request a few factsheets too ...
