Uk Sky Box????

Does anyone know of any way to get a uk sky box working in oz???? - i Know it can be done in spain etc with a larger dish but do we stand a hope in hell of getting anything but Foxtel (shite!!!!)

I would imagine that the satellite *we* can see here would not use the same codes and therefore even if you got a signal it couldn't be unscrambled. Foxtel/Austar transmits Sky news anyway, if you can bear to watch its amateurish presentation!

I was told you could use your sky box and get it decoded, but not sure if they ment to watch Sky on. Will try and find the tread which had the web address on

We got sky+ after specifically asking them if we could use and recieve sky in oz.
Their technical department assured me it would be possible!!!

Dish sizes needed UK for ex-pats. As you can see Australia is WAY to far to get anything at all. ie not on the map
