Default UK driving licence

Was recently thinking about renewing my paper driving licence for a photo ID type one, is this still worth doing? Will I need it in Aus for ID purposes of any sort? Thanks C x

You are required to convert to Qld driving licence within 3 months of arrival. So it depends on when yours expires and when you are coming outas to if you renew at all in the UK.

There was a thread recently which suggested that you do need the plastic one. And as you need photo ID to breathe in Australia, it would be useful thing to have for the time until you convert your licence over.

A suggestion not backed up by any facts. However converting to photocard is not a bad idea.
