Has anyone had any joy finding a double bed base? (in Sydney). I need a base for my mattress I bought over
Any help I'd be so grateful!

Better to get your mattress measurements and head over to a large furniture shop

Take some measurements and use to identify the right base. You may find different shops have different sizes

We have a UK king sized bed, which was supposed to be the same as an Aussie Queen size. I bought some electric blankets from Kmart, I think it was, and their Queen was most definitely not big enough for our bed. I ended up going to proper Manchester store and there Queen was definitely the right size.

Oh yes, I measured it yesterday so will ring around and hope to hell someone has a base that will fit. I guess it doesn't have to be exact, but needs to be within a couple centimetres each way

A UK double bed is 4'6" x 6'3" and an Oz double is 4'6" x 6'2" which is closest as an Oz Queen is 5'0" x 6'8"

A UK double is basically the same as an Oz double. A UK King is the same as an Oz queen - or supposed to be
