Re: TV Licence
There are no TV fees here for normal free-to-air TV. With adverts every 10 minutes, the broadcasting companies make a motsa without the fees. A two hour movie takes about 3.5 hrs to be shown here.
Be prepared for a load of crap. The ABC on friday night is about the best you are going to get. Pay tv is the same the world over. Repeats after repeats. Barney |

Re: TV Licence
I think the TV is OK actually <cue usual pissing contest>.
Lots of live sport for free, some good stuff on the ABC and better stuff on SBS. Don't watch much of it but I can usual find something to amuse. The people that complain are usually the ones that expect to be entertained 24/7 by the 'Mogadon For The Masses'. |

My Mother-in-law couldn't believe it when I told her about ol' Reg Hollis slashing his wrist because he was getting the sack... |
Re: TV Licence
They should pay us to watch the TV. Its BAD and the crappy Strata arial connection that we have to plug in to makes it look like its snowing all the time :(
Thank god for thebox.bz - especially with all the bad weather we've had. |
