Trying to Move to Oz - advice?
#1
I'm in the process of securing a job in Sydney which will involve sponsorhip by my new employers and a Business Visa which will make the whole thing possible.
I have been told that my girlfriend will be able to live and work with me in Sydney, so long as we can prove to the authorities that we have been together for a year or more - which we have.
How much proof will they need? How hard is this to pull-off? Any advice on what type of proof they appreciate the most? Any advice more than welcome. :scared:

To prove our de facto relationship we sent:
Evidence of a common residence
- joint utility bills
- official mail addressed to us both covering the 12 months (council tax bill was perfect)
Evidence of combined financial affairs
- joint account bank statements
- joint credit card statements
- copy of wills
- employer pension scheme arrangements
- receipts for major joint purchases
Social/official recognition of relationship
- joint gym membership
- evidence of naming one another as next of kin e.g. at work
- statements from family members on both sides to say that they considered us as family (in laws)
May be overkill, but too much is better than not enough! Oh, and from memory, they don't accept photos as evidence.
Hope that helps! Good luck and welcome to the forum!
