Hi my name is Dom im almost 28, moved to Perth last year Im originally from Bristol, totally love the life here, but im finding Perth an unfriendly place I havent managed to make any friends yet. Feeling somewhat isolated as im realizing that good friends from home dont keep in touch and that its even harder to make friends here. So if there are any guys or girls that wouldnt mind another pom to hang out with, get in touch

Hello
I've just migrated here from Bournemouth, with my wife. Arrived June 07.
We left a big social scene behind, so yes it is lonely to not know people and not have friends to socialise with, or just pop round their house... but we are meeting people slowly but surely. We don't have kids which is how alot of people meet and socialise. (The first friends we made were another couple at animal quarrantine when we were visiting our dog... he's out now) Also meeting people thro' Poms in Perth website..... we're meeting a few people, for the 1st time, Friday 7.30pm 6th July at The Boat, Mindarie Keys. Why not come along for a beer? Its a nice modern bar.
From Steve.
ps. We start work next week, so hope to meet new people.
pps. My wife starts conversations with any similar age person who has an english accent.... I've started to do the same. All poms we've met are keen to swap tel. no's and invite you to nites out cos they know what it's like to be new here. Keep in touch.
