i moved here just over a year ago with the missus and 2 kids , i had a big family and a lot of mates back in uk so i have been feeling a bit lost recently but we did the right thing moving to perth . Any way i hope you make some new mates soon it will only be a matter of time

'The Greenwood' is my local not alot happening their, although its where that young lad got killed last year, so i guess it can be rough although ive never had any trouble, i have been to the moon & sixpence once or twice, thought it was good wouldnt mind trying their food! drop me a pm if you wanna catch up sometime

well dom i am one of those older types but the wife is always telling me to grow up and act my age:eek: i am 39 and heading for that big 40.
I live in ridgewood and work in kewdale been here 6 months and could do with a few pints without the wife,:beer: :beer: i also am finding it strange not having the usual drinking mates and could do with a few.

Hi Dom, we are living up in kalamunda,not that far really even though everyone bangs on about it being a long way. We would like some mates, as not used to being loners, we are 30 and have been here 3 months , we drove over from brisbane in a campervan, now have to work. Im the same age as you. Im 28 in November. I arrive in Perth Sunday afternoon and I'll be coming on my own.

If you want my email address drop me a pm. Once I get an Aussie phone number I can pass it on but I can see me being limited to how often I can contact people for a few weeks.

Hi Dom.

I see from all the posts that you have had quite a few invites and that should help you not to feel so lonely. Its hard all round when you land in a new place, and feeling homesick & without friends makes it worse.

Perth is a friendly city, and mostly people will take the time to get to know you, unlike some places you go.
Hang in there and give it time. And from this Perthonality - a big welcome & smile.
