Default Transfer and Tax

I know this question has been asked before. I have researched previous threads. I have found no definitive answers, just 'I thinks'.

My question:

Moved money to Oz late last year.
Sent money back to the UK early this year. (As we plan to return to the UK).
We made some money on the transaction.

What are the tax implications? Especially as the money is now back in the UK.

I don't think we will be able to leave before the end of the Oz tax year.
I am a PR for tax purposes.

Has anyone actually been taxed by the ATO regarding this? I would be interested to hear anyones experiences.

Many thanks

Mike
