Re: Tourist Rip off or Tip off ...
Rip off - Not really money wise, but we were disappointed because twice we turned up to go through the submarine at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle and twice we were turned away. Even though the second time it was the last tour of the day they wouldn't budge to take two extra people. You need to book, or turn up early.

And was it accurate?
Tip off - Tin Can Bay. (Qld) Gorgeous place. Stay the night if you can. At 8am every morning you can feed the dolphins for free. They take a gold coin donation. Beats Tangalooma. Have a coffee at Barnacles cafe and watch the Pelicans try to mug the guy with the fish.
Disappointment - Rainbow Beach. We drove for bloody ages and thought the sands would be at the bottom of the beach steps, but they are about 3km up the beach and we weren't sure we were there when we got there. If you want to go, get there early and book the camel train up the beach - very reasonable and much more fun and you get a commentary.
