My husband loved it - still bores me with the guide's anecdotes 7 years on.
I agree with the ferries v cruise thing; we booked a lunch cruise for our first visit and paid a fortune to have a table inside, in the middle of the deck, where we couldn't see a thing. Could take a lot of ferries for that money. (I still get a buzz from taking the ferry home.)

Thanks. That makes me feel better I wouldn't mind doing the Storey Bridge but first born's not allowed and she wants to as well so I still can't because I'm a nice parent (not at the moment though, I'm evil apparently )

You have teenage daughters, that's a given!
Mine has got the sh*ts with me because the doc told me to keep her off school for two days due to the flu. And she's complaining? I've obviously gone wrong somewhere

Tip off: Seniors' travel pass - $2.50 for the day, trains, ferries and buses and you can travel from Bowral to Newcastle (Eat your heart out if under 60<g>).
Rip off: everything else..................
(I'm joking. Almost....)

Mine's got the sh*ts with me because she forgot to get her science book from the library before the long weekend. This is after I reminded her about 20 times from Tuesday to this morning. It's still my fault. It's also my fault that she can't find the driver disk for her printer to redo on her laptop. I'm over it.

I am feeling a bit down after reading this thread in the fact I paid for my sister and I to have a harbour cruise together while all the rest (five people) went up the bridge - we had a whale of a time window seat great, lovely food, loads of plonk. In fact I was planning to do the Sydney 2000 Dinner/Dancing cruise when mum and her new hubby come in dec. I am hoping it is good, $115 each but with 25% off from the entertainment book (another good tip) it is then 3 for the price of 4.
