This is one show I really miss watching. I think Alvin is great, so full of common sense. However it never ceases to amaze me how stupid some people are out there when you hear about the financial messes that they create then seem unwilling to do anything to rectify their situation.

Default Thanks karawara88

I was browsing through the forum when I found your message and it was only 5 minutes into the programme.

If they can go to Aus with their financial problems it should give the rest of us confidence.

Thanks for that karawara88

Brisbane bound.

Oh bugger! Missed it!!
Perhaps someone who watched it can remember any advice given?? (Not that we`re in debt - just wondering like many others what to do about endowments - pensions and so on!)

Missed it as well but we are not in debt so hopefully things will be ok! I hope
£40 grand is a lot of money.

Not to sure at the moment, Albany Creek and Fernie have been suggested but who knows. Would like somewhere near water but it depends on price.

What about yourself?

There were a couple of shots of Melbourne which looked nice and sunny!

The guy went out there for a job interview and got the job.
They managed to sell their house for a tidy profit and clear all of their debts. They left soon after for a life in Aus.

There wasn't any helpful advice about endowments etc, a few tips on saving money by selling the house and moving into rented etc.

If they can do it anyone can.

Hi there..Yes i watched it..no they did,nt take there debts with them..all they needed was alittle common sense to realise if they are going to move away and by selling the house and car then they will clear their debts...dah...how hard is that..as we all know come the time we sell up and leave then if you have debts but have made money on house sale then ofcourse you will pay them off and not take them with you..was a waste of programme really..but did see some familar sights of Melbourne that we saw when we were out there at xmas...
what did otheres think??

I too watched the programme and agree that most of what i saw was just common sense. We have some debts (NOT £40K mind you!!) and will be paying them off prior to leaving.

I didn't quite understand the lady's obsession with her people carrier though???
