We did a 3 month tour of all the main cities when we first came and decided the GC offered the best lifestyle for us. Places like Newcastle may look nice initially but will there be enough for you long term?
Friends and neighbours have moved here from so many places including Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, NZ, the UK and South Africa and they all say theres more to do here especially as the kids get older.
The GC is only a hour's flight from Sydney and we prefer the GC to Brissie as its near the beach and has less traffic.
Only you can choose the place that is right for you but we've been told if you want good weather ALL year look north of Port Macquarie in NSW.
All the best with your choice,
Sherie.
