Default Time span

Hello all,
Nearly finished the TRA at last. What a polava. No ex employers willing to give up the time to write a reference which our agent asked for. i suppose i can understand why. Anyway.
I should get the last piece tomorrow and then i can email it to our agent.
My question is. Once that is sent off, roughly how long should it take to finish everything and receive the visa. I was hoping to be in Oz by March 08. Am i being too optimistic?

i'm not sure how long it takes nowadays, perhaps your agent would be able to give you an idea
have you tried the www.austimeline.com site? you should be able to find some idea of timings from there
good luck

To be honest i can't remember how long it took us to get our Visa's once the TRA had been sent off. Inbetween waiting we had to do the medicals, police checks etc..but i think if everything is OK with your application, March 08 seems ok.

We got ours in about 3 months but we sent meds / police checks up front and they were quick at the time. But have you got a house to sell? That can add many months to it.

Thanks people,
We do have a house to sell and that was on my mind too. If we put it on the market too early and it sells quick, we will be homeless and need to find somewhere to rent. Put it on too late and who knows how long it could take.
If it was me, i would do it now and soon as its sold and the visa received, emergrate, but O.H wants a last Christmas with family and we all know whose the boss.
Thanks again, Les
