Time limit
Hello,
I have applied for PR under skilled category on 24th of june 2002 and i have not received any thing from DIMA except acknowledgement.
How long should i wait?
Can anybody share his/her views and knowledge about it.

Don't worry yet as I didn't hear anything for nearly a year then it all rushed through and got my visas within a few months after that ... which was a couple of weeks ago now.

We applied in May 02, got acknowledgement in July 02 and police and medicals were requested on the 8th Feb 03.
Skilled Independent - Adelaide.
You SHOULD be hearing something shortly.

I think it all depends on the priority that they give your trade/occupation.
I applied in Oct 2001 and didn't get the Medical/police request until Jan 2003, but then I am just a lowly stonemason.
