Default Threatened UK Airport strikes

For all of you fleeing the UK, temporarily & permanently, the BBC tells us that 'Unions have warned of chaos at UK airports this summer after voting for strike action over pay.'

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3759429.stm

Although I bet not too many people are likely to be flying to Oz/NZ on EasyJet & Air Seychelles the report does imply that other airlines will be affected as well.

May be worth getting that travel insurance organised sooner rather than later?

What with that and many of the UK trains being out of action at the moment, I wonder if this an evil Teflon Tony plot to try & stop us from leaving the country.....?

We've got a punt - may come in use!

Mind you, we'd need an awfully long pole to be able to get across the Atlantic (we Cambridge types wouldn't be seen dead using paddles - it's so uncool)...

But using a punt............where would you get a cornetto in the middle of the atlantic.

For me I am going back to my costa bloody packet days.........I knew that pedalo I stole from Whitby Boating Lake would come in handy.

Cough, I think you'll find that was a gondola. (Pedantic, moi?)

Of course it wasn't the stealing that was the hard part, it was the pedalling down the east coast to Lincolnshire, I'll bet.

Picky picky. It was easy getting it down to Lincolnshire, after stealing the pedalo, I stole a car, then I stole a trailer and finally siphoned off some petrol from a car that was sat at the side of the road.

Good job I have got my visa otherwise there would be no chance I would get through the police checks.

I never liked to conform and thats why punt or not..........its cornetto all the way. Given the choice though.......a snowball would have been the ice cream of choice.
