I really can't believe how quickly the time is flying all of a sudden

This has been so long coming it all seems a little surreal.

I've just booked the shippers today, I'm handing in my notice at work tomorrow and the dogs are having their blood tests on Tuesday, fingers crossed.

I just got in a total panic as I'd said I would work on Tuesday then realised today that was when the dogs were due at the vets. I've just rang work and sorted that out , phew!!!

I think I'm pretty sorted at the Australia end, well as much as I can for now. Now I just need to get things finalised here and away we go

I wish time was flying for us it seems to be dragging at the minute, are you taking much stuff with you. Who are you using.

No, not taking a lot to be honest. We're using PSS and they quoted me around £1300 insurance is extra.

what do you get to take for that if you dont mind me asking. what size do you get, is it a 1/3 or 1/2. We are looking at taking a few bits but nowhere near a full container.

No, I dont mind asking at all. Its nice to be able to help others out with info, as I've got so much from here over the years.

It's for 250 cubic feet which they said is about 1/4 container or there abouts. They didnt come out to estimate, I just told them what I had over the phone and he gave me a price. He said they will refund etc if its different on the day.


I plan on: 2 double beds, 2 computers, a large treadmill, J's bike, then about 12 t-chest size boxes of toys, books, photos etc.

Some might think thats expensive, I dont know but it sounded fair enough to me.

It includes them packing removing, storage for up to 3 weeks then delivery at the other end. I will have to pay quarantine charges of A$2-250 at the other end as well
