As many others we are still waiting for our 457 visa and have our fingers crossed that we can fly to Perth early September.

However, if and when they do get approved, do we have to send our passports off....?? I heard a rumour but not sure of the process. And , if our passports need sending off somewhere before we go, can we go somewhere to do this in person, as time is getting kind of tight???

How long have you been waiting for the visa and what are your jobs they normally only take a week or two to process... you dont need to send passports off you do that when you get here... you will get electronic notification.

It's only a week since our x-rays. My OH works in IT. We're off to France for 3 weeks next week (booked months ago) so were panicking about not being here and needing to send passports somewhere.

I'm reassured - thanks.
