The tram trip around Perth is good. Starts in Kings Park and goes all around the city to Burswood. All our older rellies really enjoyed that one.

My folks really enjoyed the West Coast Highway drive from City Beach upto Hillarys where we stopped for lunch.
I would give Mandurah/Rockingham a miss and carry on driving down to Margaret River for a couple of days?
Take a ferry across the Swan and go to Perth Zoo?
Drive out to New Norsica?
Rottnest?

Driver around the river - get on the freeway, exit at Mounts Bay Road. Drive along there, turn down Hackett Drive. You can stop and picnic at lots of places. Kiosk (not very good) and toilets at Matilda Bay. Lots of shade and grass, kids can play in the river (take body boards). You can drive around to another great little spot, Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, don't know if the kiosk there is open, also toilets there. Drive through flash suburbs to Mosman Park. Fremantle's not much further after that, but you could do that another day. It's a shame they don't like boats, as the trip down the river from the city to Fremantle is good, and not rough like the ocean.

Yanchep park and go in the caves for a cool down. Nice pub in the National Park for lunch too.

Fremantle prison is really good. Go on the evening tour, great for young and old, the guides provide plenty of interesting historical info and plenty suprises along the way
Has anybody done the underground tour there, where you go along in the boats???????? wouldn't mind giving that a try

Would you believe we've done the Prison tour twice. Both times we had the same guide. A guy called Terry I think. On our third visit with friends we found out he retired.
We moved back to the UK and were shopping in Edinburgh one day. Got on the bus to head back to the car there was Terry sitting on a number 26! Small world.
