hi there, i used to live in Nottingham in West Bridgeford and in Wollaton...you know the posh bit. lol. my brother still lives there, in Bilborough, but i moved to East Sussex a few years ago. last time i went to Notts it all looked a bit rough round the edges, if you know what i mean. having said that i have good memories, especially from school (Ruschliffe comp).
anyway, good luck to you all with the big move.

Wow, I've been coming here for ages and this is my first post outside the Nursing section. :) (Hello all)

Anyway, count me in as another Ex Nottingham resident. I grew up in Notts (Forest Fields), moved away to do training, returned to Notts for a few more years and eventually ended up here in Dundee (Don't ask).
Soon to be in Brisbane.

I agree that Nottingham definately isn't the city it used to be. I loved it whilst I was growing up and as a young man, but just before I left, I was so fed up of it. (it probably didn't help that I was working in A+E there, so was seeing a crappy side of it).

Hi there!
Pick a date and a venue and turn up!!
Have a bit of a chat about visas, aus, etc and get drunk!
That was the format before!!
We've been to Brewsters at Ripley (daytime) and Fatcats at Derby (couple of times and the last one was at Pepitos at Derby. Had a bit of food and then a wander round Derby. So it would make a nice change going Nottm way! Could do with getting a few more folk to come!

Hubby is a born and bred Eastwood lad - we both went to Eastwood comp - but wouldn't let my kids go there even if hell freezed over!!!!!!!!!!

If ever hubby and I question why we're emigrating, we only have to take a trip to Eastwood to realise we're doing the right thing.

Hubby goes to forest with little un and I know he'll miss that.(no rude replies please)
