Just wondered if there was anyone in the Notts area, who is planning to move to Aus? There seems to be lots of posts for meet ups in other areas but we have not seen any for this area. Is there anyone out there????

Our application went in Nov and we had meds done last week. Heading for Melbourne as soon as house sells!

Just at the start, had to work full time for the last year to stand a chance of getting in. I'm a teacher, hubby is a print finisher.Looks like it's Victoria for us.Would love Brisbane, but not enough points.

Great to hear of some folks who live in this area, it makes this site seem very real!!
We live in Sandiacre, so not far from you. We must of missed the Derby meet, would have been ideal for us,probably as we have only been visiting the site regularly since Nov.
We are going to NSW Gosford area, as soon as we get the visa and sell the house. We visited the area in April and lved it, Cant wait to go and get our boat, bit different to Trent lock!!!!!

Well we're definately up for a meet (prefer eves, without the kids ).
We met some great (and some not so!!) people last year and most of them have gone already so we could do with meeting some new folk!!

I work at Stanton so not far from you! Also used to go to the Fez every weekend in my younger days!!

Where did you have your medicals done Salsa? We only know of the Park hospital, it would be good to have an alternative to compare.

That's where we went for x-rays. And the medicals were done at Tudor Medical Centre on Edwards Lane (Dr Henry). It's the nearest one. Cost £739 for 5 of us :scared: (5 meds & 4 x-rays)

Only lived in Sandiacre for 4 years so never heard of the Fez! sounds interesting. Yes we would prefer evenings without kids! (who wouldn't) no findinchance of having a conversation with our 2 around. As we have never been to a meet up, whats the format or is it just a matter of finding a date and venue? got a 5 yr old 'helping' me at the moment .

Would love to meet you all.Chance to pick each others brains (prefably with lots of booze thrown in)
