Default Texting UK mobile from OZ

I have just taken the plunge and eventually bought a new mobile sim card. Some mobiles in uk it lets me text others not what am I doing wrong what code do you put in front of the mobile number and do you omit the zero before the 7 ?????

You need to drop the 0 and replace it with +44. So a UK number starting 07769 would need to be +447769.

You need to put +44 at the start of the number and DROP the zero...
