Question Temporary to Permanent

Once you've been granted a temporary visa, provided you've met the criteria specified (e.g. lived and worked in low growth/regional area and been employed for at least 12 months) is it just a formality to apply for permanent residency?

Hi Bridie,
I think with a SIR Visa you can apply for PR after 2 yrs, but there is no guarantee it will be granted!
