Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a website or any places for temporary furnished accommodation in Brisbane, particularly Wellington Point or surrounding area?

Our plan is to pitch up somewhere like a holiday flat for a month or two and checkout the long-term rental market when over and find somewhere before the container arrives...

Any help appreciated.

Yep Like Tracey said give these a try...we used them last month and stayed in the wellington point house...Brilliant

we found a furnished rental with www.prd.com.au/manly not to far from wellington point, we struggled to find furnished all the the houses advertised on web sites were booked up, we leave the house this week, to go to our un furnished house. its was fine for a short period cheaper than a hotel

We are currently staying in Dagboys (www.destinationbrisbane.com.au) house at Wellington Point.
They have been very helpful and the house is very comfortable and well equipped and we would recommend it to anyone.

Furnished lets are virtually impossible to find but we have seen some unfurnished rentals in this area for reasonable prices.

Is there much demand for furnished accomodation (pref more long term)?

The reason I ask is I am going o/seas for 3 years, and for the first year my wifes son and his mate are renting our house (4 bedrooms on the Gold Coast), and so we are leaving all our furniture.

When they move out when they finish Uni, I will have to either bung all our gear into storage, or rent it out fully furnished. Just thinking ahead re options

There is huge demand for nice long term rentals. Very unusual to find one furnished though. Normally only furnished for short term (up to a month) lets.

Mind you, once your son and his mates have finished, the furniture may not be of any use for anything but the dump

In that event there will be two dump runs, one for the furniture and one for the son/mates!

To be fair, I wouldnt leave the house full of pristine flash spanking new furniture, just clean/serviceable stuff
