Congratulations on your new job.

I've applied for a post and when I asked how they would get round the interview part they said they would hold a telephone interview. Again it was a university, but I've never heard anything from them yet

I followed the advice, sat at a desk with my papers in front of me, put them on speakerphone and just tried to make sure they had finished talking before I said anything. anyway, it lasted an hour, was bizarrely quite enjoyable - and half an hour later they phoned and offered me a job.

Thanks - just opened the champagne. I haven't slept for about 24 hours now so I guess it's good practice for the Jet Lag!

The job's at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane - and I think I'll be starting towards the end of February. Just started writing the list of things we need to do!!!

Help please.

I have a telephone interview next week for Brisbane City Council and I need to deliver a powerpoint presentation as part of a role play during the interview! Aaahh! Anyone had any experience of doing this. There will be a panel of 3 interviewers and i will email the presentation to them beforehand.
