Hi Donna,
I had a phone interview for the job I have. Tell Malc not to worry He'll be fine. Just tell him to be himself and answer honestly. What kind of job is it?
Tell him good luck from David (Walla)& Dawn
Pm me if you have any further question re phone interviews.

It took about an hour in the end, and once we got talking it was fine. The way to look at it is, if the company are going to the trouble of arranging the phone interview then odds are already in your other half's favour.
One more thing worth mentioning is that the company wanted to meet me before finalising a deal, and paid for me to fly over for a week to faciitate this - fingers crossed your hubby might be lucky and get a week's "holiday" too

Good luck, and seriously there is no need to worry (though I know that won't reduce the amount of worry he suffers!)

Hi Donna,
Wanted to wish Malc good luck, and to let you know that phone interviews over here are quite common - its cheaper than flying people around the place.
One thing that I don't think has been mentioned, - which people may not know - is that the interviews are often on "speaker phone" so you are talking to 2 or 3 people at once. And because managers here are so used to them, they can put the applicant at ease straight away.
Hope to see you in Brissie

Anyways to cut a long story short hubby was sent a quiz on his profession(email) returned it yesterday & a telephone interview has been set up for 7am on Monday morning :scared:
Hubby is absolutely kackin himself
he,s been with the same company since he left school (17yrs) & having an interview after all this time has got him worried,i thought having a phone interview would have made things easier but he says he would prefer face to face, not usually stuck for words my hubby so even im surprised!
Has anyone else had to do a telephone interview? how did it go? hubby was told it would take about 45mins-1hr
seems a long time, what do you folk think?
Any reassurance for hubby would be a great help.
