Default Teenager new to Wollongong-ideas to make friends?

Hi, we have been in Wollongong for 4 weeks, OH has started the new job so just myself and our teenager at home...

Any ideas of where we can make friends and fill up the days?

Teenager fancies surf lessons before school starts on 31 Jan - do you know of any?

All suggestions would be appreciated, cheers

Hi,

and welcome to the 'Gong,

Cant help with the teenager stuff, my daughter is only nine. She does Nippers at Bulli and airborn cheerleading but as withh most clubs and sports they stop over the summer holidays because so many people go away.

as for surf lessons try Taupu Surf School, they operate in Thirroul and i think at North Beach as well. Or just go and buy a bodyboard and some fins and go and have some fun

Hope you are all adjusting ok, the first few months are the hardest but you couldnt be doing it in a better area. We've been here almost three years and dont ever want to go back to the UK.

take it easy

Andy
