Location: Manchester UK to Sydney, then decided Gold Coast, stayed there for 8 months and now back in sydney

Tax File Number
Hi,
I had a Tax File Number when I was on a working holiday visa in OZ in 98/99. Do I still use this number/is it still valid or do I need to reapply for a new TFN now that I have a permanant visa?

Have you tried the Tax Office Website they will be able to tell you.

i was on that site the other night. one of the questions asked was ' have u ever held a tfn before if so give details' or something like that

Once you have a TFN you keep that number for life, so if you had one before. you can use the same one now.

When I got here I applied for a new one, but they sent me the same one I had 12 years ago when I had my WHV
