Hi bit of both i went to see the police in Gatton near Ipswich north of Brisbane and got a lot of paper work and showed them my shot gun certificate. my friends have plenty of land to shoot on and they are going to countersign my application nothing guaranteed Ill pots if i get it

Hi just to keep you up to date. Just as in today been granted my oz firearms licence. It's harder than getting your PR visa. Just the import licence to go then we can get packed up and go

Yeah filled out the application form and sent a copy of my uk licence with it and details of my air rifle. We have friends in oz where we are going to be based so that gave us a oz mailing address and they have friends with loads of land who countersigned my application how else you would go about it i dont know

Hi Graham,
Can you confirm that you actually have an import licence for a firearm and how important was the fact that there was plenty of land on your friends property, i.e. is it rural ?
I've just been through a thorough palava with the Irish Police/Storage/Renewal system in Eire, and am getting sick of having the rules change, so I'm considering importing again, but since I'm non resident in Eire, my licence is excercised by proxy through the Gunshop providing the storage. Therefore I don't have a current licence for the firearm (brno 22)
