Hi All

We live in North Brissie and have 2 kids 22 months & 5 months and have been on the lookout for surrogate grandparents for them for a while but so far have not had any luck.

We enlisted the help of a local charity and we had a couple of newspaper stories done on the scheme and I went on talk back radio but the main response we got back were people like us who also wanted surrogate grandparents for their kids.

When I first started looking I thought there would be a lot of people who would like the chance to be grandparents either not having family of their own or having their family living abroad etc.

I was wondering if anyone had heard of a scheme being run or have heard of anything like it or had any ideas where I could find grandparents or new of anybody who might be interested.

Not heard of such a scheme, but I've got two sets in the country at the moment and you're welcome to either.

I've often thought that such a thing would be a good idea, but I'm not sure whether it exists already.

Can't help I'm afraid, but it rang a bell when you said it as there was an article on a news site last week about some people doing the same thing in Poland.
