One point - we went to the Essex meet and, while we enjoyed meeting everyone, it was spoiled a bit for us as a lot of people were smoking. I'm concerned because we will have a 3-month-old baby with us this time, and obviously we don't want him passive-smoking. Could we all perhaps agree not to smoke in our area? Those who want a gasper can nip off to the bar or garden, maybe. We'd appreciate it. :)

Looking forward to meeting some new people!

Hi Jen yes I'm ok thanks, working everyday- so much for it being a part-time job! I've had this week off and been to visit my ex neighbour in Devon for 3 days. I've had a yukky cough cold thing but its almost gone.
The Quays- I've been to several parties there and another internet forum meet and its never been smokey, there is a garden and doors opening out onto the lake so it should be ok. If No1 daughter comes she said she'd look after the little ones - she could walk the baby or go to the garden/playground?
look forward to hearing your news.

Hi Helen & All

Thanks for a lovely afternoon, it was really nice to meet you all.

The photo's came out great, I have a problem with putting them onto the photo gallery, it says its not yet set up to accept my type of package, I have Kodak Share.

I then tried to post them individually on the threads, but it says its too big, my photo's are approx 624 K and I think you can only put 39 k on.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I can't figure out how to resize them.

Thanks Helen for organising, it was a great turnout

do the restrictions apply to the PHOTOPOST area as well. could you not post them in there ?

the quickest / dirtiest way to reduce the file size of the pics is to reduce the actual physical size of the picture. open in MSPAINT, from the menu choose [IMAGE], [STRETCH/SKEW] and try reducing the size of the pics. this may help. I use a 5 mega pixel camera that creates an original image around 2.5MB in size and I can reduce them to 1 5th of this just by reducing the image to 80%.

great day today, good to talk you guys, good luck and keep us all posted.

:)

That's the way I did it too, though I used NeoPaint, which is much better than ms if you have it. You don't really need the pics to be too big anyway, as it makes them difficult to view. Hope it works - we're looking forward to seeing the incriminating evidence!
