Funnily, I noticed that when you buy larger packs, you pay the same per unit price. In every other place, it works out much cheaper when you buy 'economy' size. Also I didn't find any 'three for the price of two' kind of deals or 40% extra... free....buy while stocks last....kind of deals :D

You do have to watch that. Where we buy our milk, it is $1.69 for 2 litres (84.5c per litre), or $2.89 for 3 litres ( 96.3c per litre).

But.. Cascade Premium light is about $2 a bottle or $23 for 24 bottles :)

Cascade Premium Light - Australia - Lager/Beer
Described as Australia's best light beer. Moderate to strong bitter taste that disappears soon after swallowing to leave a dry, crisp aftertaste.

Ahh, now a subject I can really relate to, on the basis of taste for value, including alcohol content, and volume. Best value beer in my opinion, Is Dan Murphys, Amsterdam Mariner, 4.8 pct, Dutch beer, 500 ml cans (tubes) 40.00 bucks, which works out to 1.60 aud per can, or 3.20 per ltre. Tastes good too. (lasts me 2 weekends, solo drinking, as I've quietened down considerably)

better than that cheap bloody powers stuff.

As for washing powder, I wonder if you still get a 'square deal' with surf

Forgot to look tonight actually, sorry!

However, I did notice that the two "12 items or less" aisles were shut, and a member of staff was telling an irate customer that they were shut because everyone was using trolleys tonight...........!

I know what you mean but in this case it worked out to be a lot cheaper, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered lugging such a big box to my car. (Can't remember how much it cost - it was ages ago - but will be making the trip to BigW sometime soon)!
