It's actually very simple, just melt some cooking chocolate and add in plenty of Rice Bubbles, or even the chocolate version ones. The trick is to roll it all out very thin before it sets, the same thickness as easter egg shells. For some reason it tastes better than the thicker blocks you buy in the shops. :)

Let me know when you do some and i'll volunteer my taste testing skills :D

Now to find someone who will bake it for me :D :D I wonder if it will taste like Soreen :)

Tea is meant to be the 'best drink of the day', even when its cold and black

MrsDagboy. There's 160 recipes for chocolate on the bbc.co.uk/food website, but cant find one for chocolate crunch.

MrsD,

If you are still looking for something yummy to bake and not too concerned about calories...try Choloclate Palmiers(sp)

4 sheets of sweet puff pastry
100 gms of milk chocolate(chopped)
150 gms of dark chocolate (not too high a % of cocoa tho, or it will be too bitter when cooked)(chopped)
cinnimon
sugar

I sprinkle sugar onto my bench and lay one sheet of the puff pastery onto the sugar then in a bowl, mix the chocolates with the cinnimon and sugar(I cant remember the exact amounts of sugar and cinnimon, just do it to taste) then sprinkle a 1/4 of the mixture over the puff pastry. Get the second sheet of puff pastry and lay it in sugar and lightly press then lift it onto the first sheet of pastry. Sprinkle another 1/4 of the chocolate mixture.

Now, you take the edges of both sheets of pastry and fold them to meet them in the middle. You then give them a light going over with the rolling pin and then fold that in half. You then give it another roll with the pin and then slice to about 1 cm think and back on 210 for 15-20 mins.

Repeat with the other 2 sheets of pastry and remaining half of mixture.

Once you make these once, you will keep making them. They are SO easy and everyone so far as LOVED them!!!

Sounds very civilised. I guess you win the shopping money on the GGs. I need some scheme like that.

I personally couldn't give a monkeys what the supermarkets are like. Presumably I will be able to buy meat, veg, milk, cheese (ok not monterey jack), vodka etc from various shops - if I can do that, I will be reasonably happy but will find something to moan about because I am a pom and that is what is expected

I know what you mean, I started this thread and now I am thinking What have I caused? I just asked aquestion and it just seemed to lead into bad things (yikes) Maybe I should just stick to reading threads and not creating them?? ;) :(
