Hey,
Neither are exactly a bad place to live
. We go to the Gold coast often to visit Seaworld and the other theme parks, but we live in Noosa which is on the Sunshine Coast, Absolutely beautiful, but i have to say the wages arent as good as the gold Coast and property is more expensive (from my experiences) we would never move though, we have two kids great place to bring up kids, however Goldcoast is great as well, though a lot busier.
Prob haven't helped much but as previous people have said you gotta visit the places to find out what feels best. Goodluck and have fun adventuring

Hi Shabee,
A very difficult decision, as people say nice on sunshine coast but work limited, again depends what you are looking for and what line of work you are in. We are based in the Redlands area, which we feel is ideally located 45 minutes to Gold Coast and 20 mins to CBD and just over an hour to sunshine coast. We were in the same situation as you when we arrived, we travelled everywhere not sure of areas or where to settle, but we ended up at Wellington Point and love it here. We then realised how difficult it was and decided to set up a homestay buisness to help other people in the same situation as yourself, to offer a base and support and guidance. Hope you find the right place, travel around and talk to people in the area's you like, check for schools, crime rate etc
Good Luck

Totally love both area's when we first visited a few years ago, but decided on the Gold coast, we live on Pacific Pines, which is great if you have kids as your not to far from the theme parks, ie wet n wild, movie world, dreamworld & seaworld. We are only about 20 mins from the beach and the same to the mountains, so have the best of both worlds really.
I have 3 boys age 12/10 & 4 who have settled really well and have relocated many families to the Gold Coast area, who are more than happy & settled.
I f you need any more help please feel free to PM me.

I am sure this has been asked before, but!
We are heading over to Australia Sept. and having a hard time in deciding where to go. We have been looking at both the Gold Coast and the Sunshine coast.
I need some input from you lot to help me decide as it is so difficult just to decide by what I read on the internet.
Is there really much difference between them?
Thanks in advance
Shabee
