Sunrise & sunset times May 20th
Hi all,
I am validating with the wife & three kids (3, 4, 7) starting on the 20th May. I have asked my pocket computer thingy about sunrise and sunset for the Sunshine Coast for this time of year and it says: Sunset 5.15pm Sunrise 6.30am. Is this right? a few hours (5) daylight less than us at the moment, I do realise it is winter in Australia right now but this seems a bit of a difference to deal with. (is it right?)
Phil.

All the world gets the same daylight hours annually. Places with relatively high latitudes (say the UK) get long summer days and short winter days. Places with lower latitudes (like the Sunshine coast) average out a bit more with summer evenings lasting until about 7:30 at the latest. At the equator, pretty much every day of the year is about 06:30 - 06:30 daylight.
