Default Sunglasses

I realise that buying these is personla taste but I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on the best type and where to buy from. My wife just bought some from Sunglasses Hut but had to take them back as the frame was damaged they were fiorelli ones. We wear them everyday and at school when we teach outside so they need to be practical with not too much bling!!

Buy a good pair or your retinas will dissolve here!
Rayban, Oakley, Police, Carrera etc. With these brands you pay for the glass more than the name. Designer ones like Gucci etc are design driven.
Don't buy cheap ones, if you spend $200 plus, you will look after them and they last for years of trouble free sunnying. I like Rayban and they have a massive range of styles. I have a Carrera pair I got for $150 in a sale and they have been superb.

There was a test just a few weeks ago that basically came up that cos of the OZ standard a $5 pair is just as good as $500 for UV... Glare though is different

Not to mention eye pain with cheap lenses. A quality pair is an investment here.

You can't really go wrong with Oakleys and there are loads of different styles available. If you want a brand that are less common, and in my opinion much better, try check out some Revo's

I've heard good reports. I can't express enough how vital good sunnies are here.

Price and brand not that important. Just ensure lenses have UV protection up to 400NM to avoid damage to retina. No need to spend large amounts mentioned above, €40 or so can buy you a pair with this protection. Just check sticker/tag on glasses that they have been tested for UV protection.
Polarizing lenses are good for being out on the water, fishing etc. as they filter out the glare from underneath line of vision. No real benefit for everday use.
Just finished up my job with an opticians today to emigrate!

There is more to sunnies than UV protection. You can have sunnies on for 7 or 8 hours here. Cheap lenses will give you a sore head. Buy a good pair. Price and brand is hugely important if you don't want sore heads or your long term sight affected.
