Not stayed there. I go past the area a lot. I certainly would not have put it as a top tourist desination. It is situated off a very busy road not far from Dandenong City. If you are looking for a base so you can go and look at areas in the south east then it would be ok. If you were looking at having a fantastic relaxing holiday with strolls out to nearby cafes and eateries I'd think again.

If you are after a family park then the best type are the Big4. There is one in Frankston. We stayed in a park in Carrum Downs. It did the job and the place was clean but very basic. Luckily we got rented sorted out quickly so it wasn't for long. There are also places that will do holiday lettings, cottage types. These are often around the Dandenong Ranges or Phillip Island way.

Not far from SETG - the Country Fire Authority's main fire "play ground" and trg area. Nice.

You cant recommend an estate agent (when buying). You choose a property not an agent

We stayed at the park for about 3 weeks whilst we sorted out rental and schools. As we didn't have a clue to which suburb we wanted it gave us a great base.
We rented through Barry Plant and they were fantastic. They got us a place on a 6 month rental which was allowed pets. When we moved out we was expecting them to go through the place with a fine tooth comb but they were very relaxed. Our bond was sent back to us within days even though the dog had nibbled a little of the kitchen and there were finger marks from kids all over! all they said was that they expect all properties to have a touch up coat done before re-letting anyway.
